Learn How To Want It More Than Anything with Angelina Brower

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Angelina Brower to learn five random facts about herself and what inspired her to become an actress and singer. Check out my interview with Angelina below:

Loryn: What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?

Angelina: I’m not sure I’ve had it yet, honestly! I’m really excited for my first feature film to come out next year and I worked on a project with UberEats that hasn’t come out yet, either. So, just a lot of things are in the works right now and I’m excited about the momentum I’m finally gaining following the Covid_19 shutdowns. Very excited about what the future has in store.

Loryn: What inspired you to become an actress and singer?

Angelina: I have actually known that I wanted to be an actress and singer since I was little. My Grandmother and I used to have these extensive movie marathons on the weekends when I was a kid and I just always knew I would be on that screen one day. I went to a performing arts High School, followed that up with attending Oklahoma City University for Opera, and then moved out to LA on a gap year to pursue acting and modeling full time. Music has since taken a little bit of a back burner, but I am slowly getting back into it.

Modeling was more of an afterthought for me. I never thought about modeling until I was approached by a scout in High School and scheduled a test shoot. And then during college, I started giving that more attention and moved out here with the intention of modeling and acting. I enjoy it a lot because there are obviously more photoshoots than there are film/tv jobs and it allows me the opportunity to consistently work while expressing myself in different ways than I would in a moving picture.

Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you?

Angelina: You have to want it. You have to make sacrifices for success in this industry and you have to want it more than almost anything else in your life. Those are the people that succeed in this industry. It takes a lot of work and persistence, belief, motivation, etc. It all comes down to the fact that I have to want this consistently, every day, and be willing to hop on a plane tomorrow if I booked a job. It’s not for everybody.

Loryn: How has the pandemic changed you?

Angelina: I think the pandemic allowed me time to see what was needed in my life, what I was lacking, and what no longer served me as far as my own health, relationships, friendships, etc. went. Obviously, the shutdowns due to the pandemic were really hard on everyone, but I wouldn’t say that it was all bad. I moved out of my previous apartment and into my own 1 bedroom. I took a chance on online dating and met my boyfriend of a year, now. We got a puppy, which I’d wanted for YEARS and he is just the biggest joy. I was able to refocus my energies and attention on my career. Overall, I made a lot of changes that have done me a world of good.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Angelina: I am allergic to cheese- but I love it. It’s so good! Kidding, but also not. Umm, you know I think I’m a pretty open book. Some people are shocked that I went to school for Opera, but people back in my hometown knew me primarily as a singer first.
