I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview host of The Tom Ward Show on YouTube Tom Ward about five random facts about himself, what guest he'd love have on his show . Plus what he is currently working on. Check out my interview with Tom below:
Loryn: What advice would you give those who would love to interview influencers and celebrities?
Tom: Think about what you can provide for the guest. What’s in it for them? People sit down with me because I can write a Forbes article about them or shoot a video for my popular YT channel, which will get great views. You need to always ask yourself, “Why would this celebrity sit down with me? What can I offer them?”
Loryn: What guest would you love to have next on The Tom Ward Show?
Tom:Howard Stern. I’ve been listening to him since I was a kid. No one on the planet does a better interview than him. I would kill to talk with him for an hour.
Loryn: What has been your biggest challenge when interviewing people?
Tom: The interviewing part is easy. The hardest part is actually getting them to sit down with me. The bigger the celebrity, the more people they have on their team. So, it can take months of talking to PR people, managers, agents, etc. to finally get the interview scheduled.
Loryn: What is something you are currently working on?
Tom: I’m always working on new videos for my YouTube channel, The Tom Ward Show. That’s 100% of my focus. I’m also relaunching my podcast, also named The Tom Ward Show, which is the audio version of my interviews. And I’m always writing something for Forbes. Also, I love TikTok! Loryn: What is something not many people know about you?
Tom: I’ve been sober for 14 years. I had mental health/substance abuse issues for years that I needed to overcome. It’s not easy, but I’m extremely grateful to where I’ve gotten to.
