Learn How To Change Your Destiny with Rachael Evangeline

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Rachael Evangeline to learn five random facts about herself and how she would describe her music. Check out my interview with Rachel below:

Loryn: How would you describe your music to the new fans?

Rachel: My music is more like a celebration of different genres and all kinds of music. You see, I sing Western classical, Pop and Country whenever I'm given a chance. I personally think that If you listen to my music it might give you nostalgia. I have been writing my own songs and I'm so excited for you all to hear it.

Loryn: What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

Rachel: My album for sure. Hoax was released on September 26th and it's almost one month old. I'm new to the music scene and It has been really hard trying to figure out what to do to stand out from the crowd. So many people Listened to my album and the response has been positive mostly. So that's my biggest accomplishment so far and I think it's all because of my parents, My Friends, my vocal teacher, My choirmaster in church, and most importantly...Fans!!

Loryn: What is the story behind your album "Hoax"?

Rachel: Hoax is a celebration of music. On the other hand, this album was released in memory of my Uncle who passed away last year on the same date Hoax was released. I created this album in the comfort of my home. I recorded these covers and added different elements to it and if you listen closely to each track, There's something happening in the background. I feel like this album is the biggest thing I've done so far. I've always wanted to release an album and I am in the midst of quarantine and There's a lot of time and It just kind of happened on its own. We were not able to include many people on board in the creation process cause of the pandemic. So I did my own make-up and hair. My mom designed the dress on the album cover and she shot the pictures and I edited the pictures to give a vintage feel to it. I produced most of the tracks in my home studio and I collaborated with my brother on a track. In my mind, Hoax is a call back to past things we once enjoyed and most of the tracks were selected on themes of love, Regret, Nostalgia, and many more. These tracks were selected in a very organized way so that none of the tracks go out of the themes we worked with.

Loryn: How has the pandemic changed you?

Rachel: Pandemic has been real hard. I honestly agree, we lost so many lives and I can say It was real dark for me. Many people looked up to Music and So did I. I started making music! This period was a turning point in my life. I was changing my destiny. I found out about what really matters and what was temporary. I'm so glad that I had my parents with me to guide me in these tough times.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Rachel: People would really be surprised to know that I was once told that I was not supposed to speak because my vocal cord was damaged severely and I could only be cured by surgery but There was no surgery only prayer. I was also rejected from my church choir but a few years later I started getting gigs in church and I was called to be in the choir. My choirmaster is super supportive of me and when I told him about the album, he was very proud.
