Learn How Create Your Own Squarespace with Kendra

Updated: Jan 18, 2021

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Kendra Claudette about five random facts about herself, what inspired him to become a website designer . Plus learning an interesting fact about Kendra. Check out my interview with Kendra below:

Loryn: What inspired you to become a web site designer?

Kendra:I was inspired to become a web designer because it allows me to combine my love for art and technology. It's a great way to express myself and establish a digital presence that I can change as needed.  I also love that I get to wake up every day and help others effectively express themselves online in a thoughtful way.

Loryn: What advice would you give those interest in creating a website?

Kendra: If you're interested in DIY'ing it-- Choose a great platform to build it on. I recommend Squarespace. If you're hiring a designer -- Provide them with specific examples of what you like so that you're both on the same page. You'll be pleased with the outcome because it will be inline with the expectations you set from the beginning.

Loryn: What is the number one mistake people make when creating a website?

Kendra:I think most people don't make it user friendly.  I tend to think less is more.  A website should be clear and provide information on what you do and how to get in contact with you for your services.  I would say avoid creating more pages than necessary.

Loryn: What's your favorite podcast to listen to?

Kendra: Currently my favorite podcast to listen to is Small Doses by Amanda Seales although as of late I've been into audiobooks so I'm also reading personal finance books.

Loryn: What is something not many people know about you?

Kendra:I love to read.  It's one of my favorite hobbies.
