Learn Everything With Angelica Goncalves

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Angelica Goncalves to learn five random facts about herself and what advice she has for those with a learning disability. Check out my interview with Angelica below:

Loryn: Who is a guest you'd love to have on your podcast?

Angelica: This is a question that is hard to answer, there are so many people, but I would like to have Sylvestor Stallone (he’s my favorite actor) on my podcast because he is someone who really strives for success and comes from a background of being neglected for who he is, it shows we can all become something and proved that we can do it.

Loryn: What advice do you have for those with a learning disability?

Angelica: My advice is to keep going and not to give up...easier said than done? It’s the truth, I have been brought up to keep trying and not give up. Once you have tried every way possible, then throw in the towel. Learn to accept the learning disability, it’s a gift, and it’s part of you. It’s what makes you, YOU! Celebrate all the moments and the accomplishments because it will fuel you to keep going.

Loryn: What lesson have you've learned from the pandemic?

Angelica: The biggest lesson I have learned from the pandemic is life still continues on, and you have to adapt to it. You can’t think about the negative and how bad it will get, it’s more like what you are doing to keep striving and still accomplish those goals. It was a time of reflection, and grateful for the time I had to see what is next in my life, career, and goals! No matter what, the world doesn’t stop. We have priorities and day-to-day life to keep on living and doing.

Loryn: 4. What's a goal you hope to accomplish with A Little Bit of Everything podcast and community?

Angelica: Grow within my community, hitting all 50 States in the USA and 85 countries is fantastic, and I am super grateful, but I want to build in my local city, Toronto. Getting out there and meeting new people and networking is something I want to push myself out there more to grow this podcast once we have events back up in the running.

Loryn: What's something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Angelica: I DJ’ed my own wedding, I wanted to save money on my destination wedding, so I told my husband that I would record and create a mix for our wedding. It saved us about $1,500, the DJ of the resort wanted to trade songs and told me he loved my work. I am a very creative person if I can do it myself, I will.
