I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Alan R. Rodriguez to learn five random facts about himself and what lesson has the entertainment industry. Check out my interview with Alan below:
Loryn: What lesson did the pandemic teach you?
Alan: The pandemic taught me how truly fragile life is. The number of people that have died from Covid-19 is something I never imagined I would experience in my lifetime.
Loryn: What influenced you to play dramatic characters:
Alan: The business hires the actors they feel best represent the characters they create. I give over my entire being, my entire self, to the development of dramatic characters. It is such a rare opportunity to make a living getting into the heart and soul of another human being. Sometimes even more exciting if that being is vile and loathsome. I also happen to enjoy comedic roles but seem to be seen more often as the dramatic actor.
Loryn: What lesson has being in the entertainment industry taught you?
Alan: It has certainly taught me patience and resilience among other things. It
has also taught me that I am so lucky and blessed to be part of an industry made up of marvelous incredibly skilled artists and that we need to be supportive of each other as we work and grow and sometimes succeed and sometimes struggle.
Loryn: What accomplishment are you most proud of this far in your life?
Alan: I am humbled by the fact that I have been able to continue living my life as a working actor, so in many ways, I have achieved my dream. My specific goal is to attain a series regular role in a hit TV series.
