I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Grace Graber to learn five random facts about herself and what projects does she have in store for 2022. Check out my interview with Grace below:
Loryn: How has the pandemic changed you?
Grace: When the pandemic hit, I thought to myself, "I can either sit around and wait to go back to work or I can treat music like my full-time job." I then jumped into regular co-writing and learned how to produce, mix and master my very first single "Serious." It really showed me how serious I was working in music and lit a spark in my heart to one day do music as my real full-time job!
Loryn: What was the inspiration behind your song "Savior & King”?
Grace: Savior & King was the very first Christmas song I had ever written. I was really nervous at first because I didn't want to just write another cheesy Christmas song. I wanted to tell the story of why Christmas is important and why I celebrate it, personally. I had written it and sent it over to my buddy, Lane Norberg and we ended up sharing it during an online Christmas service. There was just something so magical about it when we played it, I wanted to remember that feeling forever. So we decided to go into the studio, record it and make it available to the world!
Loryn: What projects do you have in store for 2022?
Grace: YES! Early 2021, I released my debut EP titled, "In My Head" and I am eager to continue to tell the story. I write songs because a song saved my life as a teenager and so now I am working on songs that are verbally processing what is going on 'inside my head' and sharing that through singles. I plan on releasing a couple of singles next year that are gonna lead into my Sophomore EP in 2023.
Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you?
Grace: Your story really matters. Everyone is out here doing the same thing. We are all fighting for our dreams. What will make you stand apart is YOUR story. Speaking it, telling people where you came from is powerful and can open some pretty cool doors if you are vulnerable enough to share it with the world. Your story matters.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Grace: I am a licensed Esthetician! As a way to pay for music & bills, I do facials, waxing and make-up! I find the human skin fascinating and love to help those with insecurities find solutions.
