Learn How To Trust Yourself with Jenna Pereira

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Jenna Pereira to learn five random facts about herself and who is an actor or actress she'd love to work with in the future. Check out my interview with Jenna below:

Loryn: What projects do you have in store for 2022?

Jenna: I’m currently performing on Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady in PigPen Theatre Company’s Phantom Folktales as Rose, performing in immersive actor-musician pop-ups as well as ship events like Scarlet Night and Heartbeat Party until mid-June. I'll then be heading back to NYC to keep auditioning and grinding as well as working as a teaching artist at Kidville Upper West Side and performing with TheatreMAMA and Froggle Parties! In 2021, I got to be a part of Imposter The Web Series, and I'm hoping to see that come out soon!

Loryn: Who is an actor or actress you'd like to collaborate with one day?

Jenna: I'd love to work with Laura Benanti, she’s been such an inspiration to me since I was younger and I recently got to see her live at 54 Below, she just seems so genuine. And I’d love to work with Greta Gerwig in ANY way because I’ve never had a film speak to me the way Lady Bird did.

Loryn: What inspired you to become a part of Imposter?

Jenna: When I met Veronica Maccari, the mind behind Imposter, I felt inspired because I saw myself in her, she’s also an international artist and we came from the same school and I felt like we understood each other really well.

Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you?

Jenna: I feel like I have learned that you have to trust yourself; trust that you’re putting in the work, trust your training, trust that you know what you’re doing. Imposter syndrome is real and I feel like you can always second guess and tell yourself “I don’t deserve this job, I’m not talented enough.” And at the end of the day, this will hold you back. I also think you have to have a willingness to learn and a willingness to play.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Jenna: I think a lot of people would be surprised by how much I love self-care. I specifically love self-care products like face masks, bath bombs, essential oils, and candles! They are my number one go-to if I'm ever feeling stressed or overwhelmed. If you ever need any recommendations, hit me up!
