I recently had the opportunity to interview Fabu Rocks to learn five random facts about herself and what inspired her to be a gamer. Check out my interview with Fabu Rocks below:
Loryn: What’s the most challenging thing about gaming?
Fabu Rocks: In my case, the most challenging thing about gaming is my age. Even though I have accomplished much at such a young age, there is still so much the gaming industry can do to support and empower young female gamers like myself.
Loryn: Who are your favorite gaming YouTubers or Twitch streamers?
Fabu Rocks: My favorite gamers are Markiplier, Cupquake, and Pokimane, because they are not only gamers but funny and inspire me to not only be a better gamer but streamer.
Loryn: What do you think is the biggest problem with the gaming industry today?
Fabu Rocks: I believe the biggest problem with the gaming industry today is the underrepresentation of females. Female gamers are still a minority currently and often face bullying online by male gamers.
Loryn: What inspired you to be a gamer?
Fabu Rocks: Gaming was something I have always enjoyed doing since I was very young. My parents and I would play games together all the time. I use gaming and live streaming as behavior therapy to deal with my ADHD and speech delay daily.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn from you?
Fabu Rocks: People would be surprised to learn that a few years ago, I was embarrassed and did not want to talk about having ADHD. Many would be shocked because I have embraced it since, and I am currently very outspoken about it. I now want to educate others with ADHD through my experiences.
