I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Matthew Iacono to learn five random facts about himself and what inspired him to get involved in his upcoming film Marry Me. Check out my interview with Matthew below:
Loryn: What inspired you to get involved in your upcoming film Marry Me?
Matthew: I am a huge fan of both Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, so that inspired me to get involved with this film, and also all of the cool singing that’s in this film. I have a small role portraying a Middle school student in this film. Owen Wilson was so nice to meet. Very down to earth.
Loryn: What, according to you, is the best part of being an actor?
Matthew: The best part of being an actor, for me, is reinventing myself through different characters that I portray. Also, I just love to act, and be in front of the camera!
Loryn: If you could guest on any television show what would it be?
Matthew: I would love to be on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Larry David cracks me up, and I would love to give him a run for his money. He is just so hysterical, and this past season with the addition of Tracey Ullman’s character, Irma, interacting with Larry David—just makes for awesome TV.
Loryn: Who is an actor or actress you'd like to work with in the future?
Matthew: One of my favorite films is Shawshank Redemption. I know every word to this film, and I’m a huge fan of actor Morgan Freeman—so I would definitely love to work with him. I would also love to work with Tom Hanks or George Clooney, as I’m big fans of the two of them as well.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Matthew: People would be surprised that I’m fascinated by law, also that I became a Bar Mitzvah last year, and that I can speak Hebrew.
