Learn How To Never Lose Yourself With Preston A. Dent

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Preston A. Dent to learn five random facts about himself and what inspired him to write and act in his own short film. Check out my interview with Preston A. Dent below:

Loryn: What projects do you have planned for this last quarter?

Preston: I am filming a movie called Harrisburg, which is a book, then I am filming a movie in Atlanta called “Claudette Heart of Atlanta,” which is a book. I'm soon releasing my newest book called “Cargon The Evil Fairy” and dropping a music album called “Progression.”

Loryn: What advice do you have for those interested in entering the music industry?

Preston: The first thing I would say is to never lose yourself while pursuing this game, and be prepared for the long haul because success isn’t made overnight! Always think to create your next move better than your last. Make sure you fill your obligation of making sure your business is straight. Copyright everything, before you let anyone know your vision or read your work make sure they sign something.

Loryn: What inspired you to write and act in your own short film?

Preston: The lack of resources in my area inspired me to learn to direct and act in my own films.

Loryn: What lesson has the music industry taught you?

Preston: The industry taught me this is a cold world, a cold game, and you have to bundle up in thick blankets if you wanna survive it. This game is full of smart sharks, snakes, and if you’re not mentally prepared they will eat you alive!

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Preston: A lot of people judge a book by its cover without even reading a chapter, they see my tattoos, muscles, and think automatically I am aggressive. Once they get to know me they then find out that I am down to earth, humorous, and very much approachable.
