I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Hannah Boutillier to learn five random facts about herself and what inspired her to be a part of Lakefront Pictures' upcoming film HAPPILY MARRIED WOMAN. Check out my interview with Hannah below:
Loryn: What would you consider as your biggest accomplishment?
Hannah: I always tell people when they ask me this question that I consider the fact that I am still standing and working as an actor to be my biggest accomplishment. This career is so hard, and there have been many, many low points where I have wanted to give up. I am so proud of myself for sticking with it and never giving in. Onward!
Loryn: What inspired you to be a part of Lakefront Pictures' upcoming film HAPPILY MARRIED WOMAN?
Hannah: I auditioned and immediately fell in love with the character. I connected to her right away and just felt like I knew her. It was so natural. I honestly knew deep down the role was mine, and it was! As an actor, it is the greatest feeling to feel so connected with your characters. I had a hard time shaking her off after the film was done. I still miss her.
Loryn: What lesson has acting taught you?
Hannah: That we all have a story. No matter who we are, what we've done, where we come from...we all have loved, we all have had our hearts broken in some way. We are all connected. There is no good or bad, there is just humanity. I love that and it is what drives me as a storyteller.
Loryn: How has the pandemic changed you?
Hannah: Oh my god. In many ways, the pandemic completely changed me. I started going to therapy again. I quit my day job (one of the best decisions I've ever made). I got on medication for my depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I found myself in so many ways. I think more than anything I learned how to truly listen to myself and my gut and make decisions that are best for ME and no one else. I learned how to be an advocate for myself.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Hannah: I grew up in a small town in rural Pennsylvania with about 1,000 people total! I was homeschooled my entire life. I've moved thirteen times. I'm anything but short of surprises!
