Learn How To Love And Accept Yourself with Sarah Lightman
I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Sarah Lightman to learn five random facts about herself and what lesson she has learned from being in the entertainment industry. Check out my interview with Sarah below:
Loryn: What song do you currently have on repeat?
Sarah: I currently have the New Imagine Dragons album release Mercury Act 1 on repeat. Super deep and different, Really love it so far!
Loryn: Who do you consider as your biggest musical influence?
Sarah: My biggest musical influence is my dad who was also was a musician and an advocate for the arts!
Loryn: What lesson have you've learned from being in the entertainment industry?
Sarah: Character and perspective about the journey are everything! It's slow and steady, grind as best as you can; I don't know when I'll see success, but I deserve to see it through and know that I will kind of race.
Loryn: How has the pandemic changed you?
Sarah: I feel like I've lived as many lives as a cat. I worked a lot on my mental health as it took a toll on me with the pandemic. I was going through a lot of loss, unhealed trauma, chronic pain, pandemic feels, and undergoing vocal surgery. It was perhaps the darkest time in my life and so I realized that I needed to work through some things that weren't serving me. I needed to learn to love and accept myself first so I could thrive. I'm still going through some of that right now, but I'm grateful for the self-discovery and healing. I also know a lot more cooking recipes and can finally roll sushi without it falling apart. haha!
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Sarah: I play the guitar right-handed even though I'm left-handed, and my biological father also does, so I think it's genetic.
