I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Jessica Mikayla and learn five random facts about herself and what lessons the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes have taught her. Check out my interview with Jessica:
Loryn: You've had the opportunity to be in tons of national commercials. Which one would love to be in next?
Jessica: For my next commercial, I would love to be in a Disney World or Disney Cruise commercial. Being on set and on a free vacation! Book Me Now!
Loryn: What acting projects would you love to accomplish in 2024?
Jessica: Now that the strike is over, I'm looking forward to accomplishing the following in 2024: Being in a Feature Action Film, a Comedy Movie, and an Animated Feature Film.
Loryn: If you had to choose from animation series or comedy series, which one would you prefer and why?
Jessica: If I had to choose between an animation or comedy series, I'm gonna beat the system and say an Animated Series. Nick Kroll or Kristen Schaal hit me up. Have your people call my people.
Loryn: What lesson has the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike taught you?
Jessica: The Sag-Aftra and WGA strike taught me that just because our job is to entertain does not mean we shouldn't get paid a fair wage and fair residual wage for our hard work. In addition, if they want to use AI to regenerate our likeness or voice, we still should get paid. You can not use me once; make a copy and use it forever for free.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Jessica: Something people would be surprised to learn about me is that I absolutely love music. I can't go anywhere without my AirPods or my Beats.
