I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Kristina Menissov to learn five random facts about herself and the story behind her song "BREAKOUT". Check out my interview with Kristina below:
Loryn: What inspired you to become a model?
Kristina: Hello Let's Link It UP! Thank you for having me on your platform. Such a fun fact, my social media actually inspired me to try modeling! I was so insecure to try but people that I had never met before believed in me. They kept sharing their love with me on my social media so when I moved to Los Angeles the consolidation of beautiful people amazed me and at the same time inspired me. I am so grateful that at the time my social media platform was the most important tool that got me to try modeling and my fans were right!
Loryn: How would you describe your clothing line "MINI & MOM"?
Kristina: As you can guess it's matching outfits for moms and their little ones. You guys know I am a model, but you may not know I have a son as well. It is hard to find matching outfits for a mom and a son so I had the idea to create my own clothing line for your mini and you.
Loryn: What is the story behind your hit single with Italian DJ Marzia Dorlando entitled "BREAKOUT"?
Kristina: When I met with Marzia for the first time I noticed we had so much in common. We are both models, but more importantly, we are both artists. She writes music and I write melodies, lyrics, and sing so it only seemed natural for us to join forces and create a hit which we did. The song is about being ready for your breakthrough but also letting go of your obsession and desire which brings you down. I think when we followed our own advice from the song it became true. We pretty much manifested our success with our song "BREAKOUT".
Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you?
Kristina: It actually taught me that we are all human so I need to stop comparing myself with a pretty picture from someone else's life. Everyone is working as hard for success. It taught me to stop being in competition with others, work hard and just focus on my own path.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Kristina: I am so scared to watch horror movies (haha that is such a random fact). One time my girlfriend actually made me go to a horror movie with her, promising it would be fun. Well, I was so scared that I was holding my knees and in that scary moment I jumped and hurt my shoulder so badly that we had to rush to the ER!
