I had the pleasure to interview one of my LinkedIn connections Falyn Shiltss . I had the opportunity to learn ten interesting facts about her, what people may not know about a Diabetes Educator. Plus I got to learn about what he's currently working on. Check out my interview with Falyn below:

Loryn: What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
Falyn: Booked a one way ticket to NYC, no job, no place to live, crashed on my friends couch for 6 weeks!
Loryn: What keeps you up at night?
Falyn: All of the growth and ideas I have for my business. The opportunity. The people I am meeting and the things we are doing together.
Loryn: What is the best piece of advice you've received?
Falyn: If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.
Loryn: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Falyn: I am introverted, but at times I can be extroverted.
Loryn: Who is your favorite LinkedIn connection to learn from?
Falyn: I enjoy Christopher Hummel , Shanee Moret, and Shaye Robottom
Loryn: What's the most spontaneous thing you've ever done?
Falyn: I would say moving to NYC not planned! Biggest risk and most spontaneous.
Loryn: What is something people may not know about a Diabetes Educator?
Falyn: There are many different levels and accreditation's. You always need to be educated and learning about the latest treatments and innovations. It is very easy to read something or study from a text book or online course, but to LIVE with the disease and actually know what it is like is a whole different ballgame. I realized there was a need for more people living with the disease to be helping others who struggle and just education the general public about this disease.
Loryn: What’s the coolest thing you are currently working on ?
Falyn: Developing my blog to bring more education, awareness and help for those living with Diabetes & going thru Motherhood
Loryn: What something not many people know about you?
Falyn: I am Canadian! I have 4 kids. I have a hard time asking for help.
