Learn How To Embrace Patience with Emcee N.I.C.E.

Updated: Jun 23, 2022

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Emcee N.I.C.E. to learn five random facts about himself and if he could collab on a song with any artist, who would it be and why. Check out my interview with Emcee N.I.C.E.

Loryn: Can we expect more music from you in the future?

Emcee N.I.C.E. : You can definitely expect more music, I have "Iron Dove (Act II) [19:19]" coming that will be more classic Christian hip-hop-infused and behind that, "Iron Dove (Act III) [Kumbaya]" that is going to be gospel hip hop heavy, you know, Big Songs! With some heavyweight collabs I got top-notch producers in Sam Peezy, Kelly Keys, Arabian Prince, Marv4MoBeats along with Executive Producers Christopher Starr and Chantal Grayson

Loryn: What is your songwriting process usually like?

Emcee N.I.C.E. : My songwriting process is very interesting, the music of the song dictates the topic to me. Whether the subject is serious or funny or just cool and laid back and from there dig into the word to find scripture relative to what I am going to speak on so that all of my words are drenched in faith with a relatable perspective.

Loryn: If you could collab on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?

Emcee N.I.C.E.: Hezikiah Walker, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar, Bishop Cortez Vaughn, Canton Jones, and a few others, the reason why is because in our genre these are the pillars of the foundation. So, for me why collaborating with Jay Z, Kanye, or Rakim would be absolutely awesome because they are some of the greats in Hip Hop. There is nothing like

God's music with God's Greats, is a sound that can't be denied that would save

the soul and lives of people who need enlightenment on a whole notha level.

Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you?

Emcee N.I.C.E. : The lessons learned from the entertainment game is that of many because the industry is ever so evolving. Things change every day, the goal posts are constantly being moved because technology is evolving at the speed of light. Things taught today will be irrelevant in a month. However, the one thing I did learn was to understand who

you are, outside of my faith, be accountable to you and follow-through, and really

embrace patience. Everybody that wants to be in this industry really wants to be in

this industry but if you don't have the patience to learn and understand it, you will

not be a success story and more than likely mentally, emotionally, physically, and most

definitely spiritually broken.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Emcee N.I.C. E.: What people would be surprised to know is that I can cook, hahaha! Yep, it goes down in the kitchen which is why I have a new Hip Hop television show coming called"The Hip Hop Cookhouse with Emcee N.I.C.E." in which I showcase my culinary skills with a DJ "DJ Hustle" in the kitchen with me spinning music while I cook and talk to those who will be tapping in. I also oil paint and am a published author, but I will come back when it's a best seller hahaha!
