Learn How To Do Anything with Cassidey Fralin

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview CassideyFralin to learn five random facts about herself and what lesson her character Alisha, on Sydney to the Max taught her . Check out my interview with Cassidey below:

Loryn: If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?

Cassidey: There are many things I would like to change about the world and enjoy learning about, like information about the ongoing occupation of Palestine, racism against blacks and other races, and the upcoming California recall election. What I love about acting is the opportunity to communicate with people of all demographics lovingly and educationally, which is afforded to me through the platform that I accumulate and different news outlets. I'm super grateful to have the platform I have, and I do my best to share my beliefs and what I consider important information.

Loryn: What song do you currently have on repeat?

Cassidey: I have been listening to Adele's new song "Easy On Me' on replay. It's my favorite thing ever to exist.

Loryn: Who is an actress or actor you'd love to collaborate with in the future?

Cassidey: I would say one of my biggest acting inspirations is Amandla Stenberg. I have looked up to Amandla since I was very young, and I can only hope to have an acting repertoire as diverse and astounding as theirs. If someone ever decides to make my life into a movie, I grant the casting director full permission to award Amandla Stenberg the leading role, portraying myself. Amandla is freakingly talented; they possess the rare ability to completely embody every role they play in the most beautiful and intricate ways. It would be an honor for me to meet them one day and an even bigger privilege to act in the kinds of films they have.

Loryn: What lesson has your character, Alisha, on Sydney to the Max taught you?

Cassidey: My character Alisha on Sydney to the Max has taught me so much! I remember identifying with Alisha before I auditioned for the role when Sydney to the Max was still my two younger siblings' favorite show. Having yearned since I was little to be a pediatric surgeon, I gravitated towards Alisha the minute I learned she was a doctor; the bond I felt with Alisha only strengthened as I learned more about her during the audition process, and even today, I discover more commonalities between the two of us. She has taught me that I really can do anything I want. I know that might sound cliche, but there are no limits as long as you push yourself.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Cassidey: Many people don't know that over the summer, I took an interest in American Sign Language (ASL) and found an accredited program with which I could be assigned an individualized tutor and progress to the level of near-total fluency by my junior year. I wanted to learn ASL because it would allow me to communicate with D/deaf people and introduce an entirely new language structure to my repertoire while still activating the center of my brain key to language learning and keep progressing in my learning of the language.
