Learn How To Create Content with Brandon Dean Johnson

Writer's picture: LorynLoryn

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Brandon Dean Johnson to learn five random facts about himself, and what's her advice for those who are homeless . Check out my interview with Brandon below:

Loryn: What is a lesson you've learned from being a CEO at a startup company?

Brandon: The major lesson learned from starting BigFooters LLC has been to never give up. I’ve been building this startup for nearly 10 years now and I am just now getting to a point where it’s launchable. It is fun but also very challenging navigating through unknown territory with business planning. The biggest lesson is realizing that people often will not understand your true ideas until it's physically available for people to interact with.

Loryn: What advice do you have for those who are currently homeless trying to achieve their dreams?

Brandon: Homelessness is a very huge issue that most people don’t take seriously. I was homeless for days while making my big move to Los Angeles. Even when I thought I had it all planned out something fell through the cracks which ended me up on the streets trying to figure things out. It was hard, scary, and uncomfortable, but during this time I kept telling myself that I was going to make it through. It was during this time, one of the lowest points of my life, that I was able to figure out my future. I stayed true to my vision of why I moved to LA, which was to work in animation. Having a vision/dream sometimes outweighs the negatives in your lifes. The only issue is not letting the weight of the world weigh you down. Set your plans and fight like hell to achieve them. No one can stop a dedicated person from achieving their dreams.

Loryn: What is the difficult part about being a creator?

Brandon: Truthfully if you are really meant to be a creator you will be a creator. I have no issues creating and coming up with ideas. The major issue is standing out in front of thousands of others doing the exact same thing. But stay true to yourself and do what makes you happy.

Loryn: What is a goal you hope to accomplish in the second half of this year?

Brandon: Me and my team will be diving in deep to get our pilot episode for The Ratchet Raychel Show done by the end of the year. This will be part of our pitch package for the show alongside other content. Besides Ratchet Raychel we will be selling merchandise based on The Hoodlins and other BigFooters ip. We also will be bringing back our monthly Original Content Networking Events.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Brandon: The most surprising thing about me is that I lived in Europe for 3 years before moving to Los Angeles. During my senior year of college I decided to pack up all that I had and move to Poland. I finished my last class from Elizabeth City State University online while living and exploring Szczecin, Poland. After living in Poland for 2 years I moved and lived in London. During this time overseas I learned alot about my talents and my ability to manage work. This made me the creative / business owner I am today.
