I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Nick to learn five random facts about herself and learn the story behind her new album JUMP. Check out my interview with Nick below:
Loryn: What advice do you have for future musicians interested in investing in their music?
Nick: My advice for future artists would be to let them know that “You Got This.”
Invest in yourself in every way, in any way that is possible. Also, I would recommend artists to have full ownership of every aspect of their art, as much as possible. Lastly, I recommend all artists of all sorts to copyright their work so that their intellectual properties are always protected.
Loryn: What lesson has the music industry taught you?
Nick: The music industry has taught me to continue to grow even if you have to invest a little more money in vocal lessons, choreography, studio sessions etc. Lastly, never be afraid to “shoot your shot” and network as much as possible.
Loryn: What is the story behind your new album Jump?
Nick: I wrote most of my new album titled “Jump” in Albania, while having a blast on the beach every day, and I wanted to create a project that people who love festivals could enjoy.
Loryn: What is a song you currently have on repeat?
Nick: The songs I have on repeat are Eric Bellinger “Shine On The World” and Nick, I AM - Rock The Boat.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Nick: I think people would be shocked that I want to be a lawyer when I grow up.
