Loryn: What is one common mistake people should avoid when establishing their brand?
Lisa: A common mistake is failing to define their identity. By identity, I mean what needs your
brand fulfilling for your clients. For example, if you're selling stationery, you need to
establish what client you serving. Are they luxury buyers looking for unique custom
invitations? Or a discount supplier focusing on family events? Brands need to determine
their identity so the client can find them.
Loryn: What is one recommendation you have for those who whom already established their brand?
Lisa: Take some time to hone in on your client's personality so you can speak to them as you would with a close confidante. The better connection you have with your client, the more successful you'll be.
Loryn: What advice do you have for those interested in leveraging their brand this year?
Lisa: If you aren't already utilizing social media to reach your clients, now is the time to start. According to Smart Insights, 4.62 billion people worldwide now use social media; that's half the world's population. Your clients are on social media. It's time you connect with them!
Loryn: What lesson have you've learned from being a publicist?
Lisa: To expect the unexpected!
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Lisa: We have three rescue cats named Kodi, Amelia, and Princess.
