I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Scotty Berg to learn five random facts about himself and the story behind his song “You Don’t Have to be Alone”. Check out my interview with Scotty below:
Loryn: What other projects do you have in store for 2022?
Scotty: Besides my next song being released, I have some local performances around my city as well as an event at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. So excited for that!
Loryn: Who is a singer you'd love to collaborate with in the future?
Scotty: Either Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, or Justin Bieber. All are amazingly talented and two are Canadian!
Loryn: What is the story behind your upcoming single “You Don’t Have to be Alone”?
Scotty: The song "You Don't Have to be Alone" is meant to encourage the young generation to ask for help from a friend, or someone close by if they are having troubles. It’s letting the listeners know how beautiful the human race is, and individually as well, and encourages them to smile and lean on someone. There are people that will always be there for you. Keep on smiling, there are people that you can lean on.
Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you?
Scotty: Be strong! There are lots of people who want to be your friend or want to try and do things with you, but a lot of the time it's not really genuine. Be yourself and do what you want to do.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Scotty: I absolutely love to cook! I watch cooking videos all the time and try new recipes out for my family .
