I recently had the opportunity to interview Ish Verduzco former LinkedIn Lead and current Diversity @Snap, also a DJ. I asked ten random facts about himself as well as who he'd love to have on his podcast. I also had the chance to find out about his latest project he is currently working on. Check out my interview with Ish below:
Loryn: What is your favorite part about DJing?
Ish: Hearing from people that they had a great time.
Loryn: What a lesson you've learned since writing your book?
Ish: Be patient. Don't give up. And it's a lot more difficult than you'd expect it to be, but in a good way. It's pushing me to grow a ton.
Loryn: What has been your favorite book to read or listen to?
Ish: Smartcuts by Shane Snow
Loryn: Who is someone you would love to have on your podcast ?
Ish: Dwayne The Rock Johnson
Loryn: What is the best advice you've received , an actually put into practice?
Ish: Work hard and treat others with respect
Loryn: What's a marketing tool that you recommend people checkout?
Ish: Often overlooked, but Twitter search is great. Using the search function to find other people in similar industries or interests.
Loryn: Why would you encourage people to attend conferences?
Ish: Networking and sharing the experience via blog and social.
Loryn: What is the coolest thing you are working on?
Ish: Just my book and also working on a 5-year plan that includes career goals, financial goals, business goals, books, etc.
Loryn: What's the biggest risk you've ever taken?
Ish: Moving to San Francisco for a contract role and a hundred bucks in my bank account.
Loryn: What is something people may not know about you?
Ish: I'm not as extroverted as people usually assume me to be. I'm more of an ambivert. I can be extroverted at times, but I recharge alone and have no problem with being alone for extended periods of time. I also adapt to my environment pretty well, so if I'm in a social environment, I tend to be more social than usual.
