Learn About Sandra Life From Entertainment To Digital

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Sandra Colton-Medici about five random facts about herself, what are her predictions for the e-commerce industry. Plus learning an interesting fact about Sandra Colton-Medici. Check out my interview with Sandra below:

Loryn: What's a personal goal you hope to accomplish this year?

Sandra: The year is young, and for me, 2021 is a wide-open space of opportunity. In the coming months, I have set a personal goal to lose the remaining baby weight that I put on during my 2nd pregnancy ~ baby Chloé. She is now 14 months old, and since having her, I've waffled back and forth. I put in the effort, and then ate my feelings about her surgery for craniosynostosis. Then I put in some effort and then ate my feelings about the global pandemic. And now, I think I'm in a headspace to give the final push on what would be my third attempt at giving myself the okay to fail, and the motivation to complete. I hope your readers can relate to my journey because the struggle is real.

Loryn: What's a professional goal you hope to accomplish this year?

Sandra: Professionally, I've set my sights on launching my new membership site, CollegeOfStyle.com. You build your brand future here, and I encourage your readers and any new entrepreneur who has an idea for a business or are within the first five years of starting their business to sign-up for the VIP Wait List today! Loryn: What have you learned about yourself during the pandemic?

Sandra: In March, during the beginning of the pandemic, when quarantine and lockdown spread throughout the world, I learned that my hermit self would thrive being inside but was disheartened by what I saw daily on TV and the Internet, lives lost and businesses just gone in an instant. After the initial shock, I learned that my creative juices needed to be injected more into my business and this spurred a newfound resilience that I tapped into. I started creating, publishing, and honing in on design skills that I hadn't used at 100% since retiring my magazine, Dance Track, back in 2013. It is amazing to feel that spark again.

Loryn: What are your predictions for the e-commerce industry?

Sandra: The digital acceleration of e-commerce services is undeniable during the pandemic and still today in 2021. Companies are rising to the occasion by presenting online options for everything from virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa, to touchless payments, and the list goes on and on. e-commerce will only have a limit of what people put on it. So far, consumers have received changes at lightning speed, and as in-person interactions are commonplace again, the reception to digital transformation may slow. Growth online will continue to maintain a hybrid existence, with security becoming more and more important. As we move into a space where health impacts wealth, and restrictions are eased as vaccinations increase, e-commerce will continue to thrive. Businesses must shift from survival mode to an engagement and revival mode to keep up with those who only looked forward and never stopped when the lockdown began.

Loryn: What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Sandra: The one thing that most would be surprised to learn about me is that I love fashion and fashion journalism. I love it so much that I went to London and earned the Vogue Fashion Certificate at Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design and took several short courses at London College of Fashion. I have a closet full of heels and even worked for a high-end boutique with luxury fashion in Inventory Management and Website SEO and interned at Flaunt Magazine. Yup, la mode!
