Don’t Be Afraid To Speak Up with Natalia Christabelle

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Natalia Christabelle to learn five random facts about her and what projects she has in store for the rest of 2022. Check out my interview with Natalia below:

Loryn: What projects do you have in store for 2022?

Natalia: I’m currently auditioning for a series regular on a major tv network. I’m focused on getting a recurrent role this year. Personally, I began the production of a documentary series called ‘Wrestling Tales’. My focus is to keep nurturing it and help it grow into becoming a main staple around the independent professional wrestling circuit. I’m also writing a short film called ‘Danza’ thriller based on loneliness and grief.

Loryn: What lesson has the entertainment industry taught you so far?

Natalia: The biggest lesson is that you could do everything right and still lose. Take every chance you just won't get it back. It truly is about putting in work and little luck. And always ask questions, don’t be afraid to speak up if you don’t understand a direction. Don’t fake it until you make it.

Loryn: Who is an actress or actor you'd like to work with in the future?

Natalia: I’d love to work with Mindy Kailing again, as a minority industry outsider that has fought for all my 41 acting credits she is someone I not just admired but respect. We need more women like her in the industry. I’d love to work with director Sam Levinson (I’m aware he’s a director), I love his writing. His characters are flawed and relatable no matter how likable or unlikeable they may seem to II at first you’ll end up at least understanding why they’re the way that they are.

Loryn: What inspired you to become an actress?

Natalia: I was in 9th grade in my first year of theatre school. I realized that through acting I could live more than one life and through film/tv I could find immortality. As long as the digital file or celluloid film is working. That day, that performance will live on forever. As long as there’s an audience watching. Picture a franchise like Harry Potter, Alan Rickman he is still alive through each performance, every scene. All of his work immortalized him, not just in Harry Potter, but it’s a great example.

Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Natalia: Most people assume I’m white, but I’m Puerto Rican and I speak 3 languages. Although most people are surprised when I tell them I’m a huge professional wrestling fan. As an actor, you must have something else going on. Whether it’s a sport, gaming, reading, working out, or another art form. Because bad days come often in this profession. A lot of heartaches, so you need something to escape from it and help you move on from disappointing news.
