Art Is More Than A Thousand Words With Bre Smith

I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Bre Smith about five random facts about herself, what advice she'd give to future painters . Plus learning an interesting fact about Bre Smith. Check out my interview with Bre below:

Loryn: What have you've learned about yourself during this pandemic?

Bre: That while I may feel alone, I know there are a lot of people in the same boat that I am in. I am ok with being alone, I am usually such an extrovert.

Loryn: What city would you love to travel to, but haven't had the chance to yet?

Bre: Denmark - my word, the food, art, way of life, all of it excites me.

Loryn: What advice would you give to future painters?

Bre: Do your homework, research, be creative with the supplies you have, look for coupons or deals cuz it ain't cheap (ha!) reach out to other artists, don't be afraid to try new things. Keep a journal near your bedside so you can keep ideas not just in your mind but on paper. Venture out to see pieces of art, HAVE FUN and don't DOUBT YOURSELF - we all do it, just know you are making someone's day

Loryn: What is the biggest misconception people have about painters?

Bre: Hmm, that is hard for me to answer. I think that sometimes people think painters are all well dressed or somewhat introverted or there is a certain "look" to being an artist - not sure if that makes sense? That we can produce art in the snap of a finger and we should be doing it daily - sometimes we get "painters" block

Loryn: What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Bre: I write upside down.
